Why Sigma Search

What makes this different.

Most career services are delivered by career coaches, ex-HR generalists, or writers who have never recruited at a senior level. Sigma Search is different by design.

Working recruiter, not career coach

Every engagement is delivered by JP Hilton — a retained executive search consultant actively placing senior supply chain, logistics and procurement leaders. You get the person who reads these resumes for a living.

Specialist, not generalist

Supply chain, logistics and procurement only. The feedback, positioning, and market intel are specific to your function — not recycled from a generic career playbook.

Real network, real introductions

For ANZ-based candidates and employer-funded outplacement, we activate the same network we use to fill client roles. Warm introductions to actual hiring managers, not cold applications into the void.

Honest, not flattering

Templated services are incentivised to tell you what you want to hear. We're incentivised to tell you what a hiring manager will actually think. Uncomfortable, useful, and rare.

For Employers

Outplacement that actually places.

Most outplacement providers offer templates, workshops and generic career advice. Sigma Search offers something fundamentally different: direct access to a specialist executive recruiter with deep, active relationships across the ANZ supply chain, logistics and procurement sectors. The same network we use to find talent for our clients is the network we activate to find new roles for yours.

For Candidates · Global

Your resume rebuilt by the person who decides whether to shortlist you.

A 2-hour strategic session with a working executive search consultant, paired with a full written deliverable pack: a line-by-line resume rewrite, LinkedIn rebuild, target-company map, and interview stories document. For senior supply chain, logistics and procurement professionals worldwide who want tangible materials and honest, insider feedback before their next move. Delivered remotely, scheduled across any time zone. Candidates in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East welcome.

What's covered in the session

Resume positioning & narrative

Does your resume tell a clear story about where you are heading — or does it read like a list of jobs? Most don't. We rebuild the narrative so hiring managers see your trajectory, not just your history.

LinkedIn optimisation & keyword audit

How international recruiters and executive search firms actually search LinkedIn — and how to make sure you appear when they do. Headline, summary, and discoverability rebuilt.

Level & seniority signalling

Senior candidates often read as mid-level because they bury their scope. We surface it properly — scale, commercial impact, and the context a hiring manager needs to believe it.

Honest perception feedback

How a recruiter seeing your profile cold would read you in thirty seconds. Uncomfortable, useful, and rarely delivered by anyone else. Plus a written action plan within 48 hours.

About the Reviewer

The person you'll actually work with.

I've spent 20+ years running executive search for senior supply chain, logistics and procurement roles — across ASX-listed manufacturers, global 3PLs, government transport authorities, and multinational retailers.

Sigma Search is a single-consultant retained search practice based in Sydney. I review every resume that crosses my desk, evaluate every senior candidate personally, and hold the final conversation with every client hiring manager.

When I read your materials, I am reading them with that context — and I will tell you, directly, what a hiring manager is likely to think. That is the service. Everything else is window dressing.

Questions

Good to ask.

Which service is right for me?
If your organisation is funding career transition support for departing staff, the Employer programs apply. If you're a supply chain professional based in Australia or New Zealand self-funding your own career services, the ANZ tiers (Career Boost or Market Ready) are the fit. If you're a senior candidate based anywhere else in the world, the Global Candidate Session is built for you.
Can you place me into a role?
Yes for ANZ-based candidates — our active retained search practice is ANZ-focused, so warm introductions to actual hiring managers are built into Market Ready and the employer Executive program. Outside ANZ, we can't make direct placements because we don't have the local hiring manager relationships — the Global session positions you to win roles through your own network, direct applications, and the international search firms you'll be visible to afterwards.
Is this the same as outplacement?
Outplacement is one part of what we offer — specifically the employer-funded programs for departing staff. The ANZ and Global candidate services are self-funded engagements for professionals taking control of their own career transitions, not triggered by a redundancy.
Will you rewrite my resume for me?
It depends on the tier. Career Boost ($500) is guidance-led — you get a structured line-by-line review, positioning feedback, and a written action plan, and you do the final rewrite yourself. Market Ready, the employer Executive program, and the Global Candidate Package all include a full written rewrite of your resume and LinkedIn profile, delivered post-session. Either way, the work is grounded in a 1:1 conversation about your history, your target market, and your next move — we don't produce anything without talking to you first.
How quickly can I book?
Self-funded sessions (Career Boost, Market Ready, Global) are limited to a small number per month to keep quality high. Current lead time is typically 1–2 weeks. Employer programs are scoped individually during an initial consultation. Enquire by email and we'll confirm availability within one business day.
What industries do you cover?
Supply chain, logistics and procurement across all sectors — manufacturing, retail & FMCG, 3PL/freight, ports & terminals, healthcare & life sciences, infrastructure & defence, and government transport. The sector specificity is what makes the review useful; we do not review outside these functions.
Is this confidential?
Absolutely. No materials are shared with any third party. No record of the engagement appears anywhere. Many of our clients are actively employed and exploring quietly.
